New update for Firebrand Dash (coming soon)

Hey all.  I'm hoping to have the first release of my Godot 4 build of this game soon.  Honestly, I was shooting to have it out today, but I ended up spending the night on a last minute bug instead.  I think it's sorted out now.  But it's kind of late so I think I'm going to wait until next weekend or so. That way  I can get some new screenshots to reflect the more updated build of the game.

After that once that's out, I think I'm going to take a bit of a break from this to work on a small project that I'd hope to release by April. Though I was initially planning on finish up my work on Firebrand Dash well before February, so I'm not sure if I still have enough time to complete it on time. But either way I'll probably come back to expand on this and mess around with Godot more once I'm done with that.

Again, no idea how far I'm going to go with this game.  I still have new ideas I'd love to implement so I'm planning on just messing around with it until I feel comfortable enough with Godot to start working on learning how to make RPGs. It'd be cool if I could flesh this game out enough to try and publish it to a platform like Steam. But I highly doubt I'll get that far, especially for my "first game".

Speaking of which, I should have it set up that you can donate if you want to show finical support for my work in game dev. No pressure, these builds of Firebrand Dash are completely free to play, and honestly I don't feel like my skills are at a point that I deserve it yet. I just figured I'd leave it as an option just in case anyone really wanted to.

Oh also, if you have a Bluesky account, follow me there.  It's casual so I post just about anything, but I have been making a lot of updates relating to my progress on Firebrand Dash as well there. So if you want a preview of what's to come, that's a good platform to follow me on to get updates as I work on them.

I'm pretty salty because I was all set to actually release this new build to the public, but then I spent all night trying to figure out the audio issues. It's okay though. I found some new menu music to chill to as a treat. So we'll chalk it up to "alls well that ends well" this time. #indiedev [image or embed]
